Vacosol are ultra high-performance solar panels for producing very hot water, even when the sunlight is only measuring a low intensity. These two reasons are what make Vacosol the panel of choice for solar heating systems.
They cannot however be used in drainback systems. They must only be used as part of a pressurised system with an expansion vessel.
This type of solar panel uses double-walled evacuated borosilicate tubes measuring 47 mm in diameter and 1.5 m long.
The outer surface of the inner tube is coated with a selective layer that absorbs the sun's rays. Inside the inner tube there is a finned copper tube that collects the energy captured by the absorber. Heat transfer takes place DIRECTLY to the primary fluid.
So that the whole of the cylindrical absorber is used, and in order to ensure a concentration of energy, the tubes are spaced apart and fitted with aluminium reflectors.
The Vacosol panel is
certified, a European solar label that guarantees quality, performance and in-use safety of the product for the consumer, based on rigorous tests. It entitles users to the assistance available in most European countries.
